Drilled out shifter

So after lots of reaching out and getting no response from KaferLab about a shifter knob for a VW Rabbit Pickup I just went ahead and ordered one. Of course it didn’t fit, but since it’s made of aluminum I picked up my hand drill and drilled out the shifter knob treads, This made it large enough to simply slide over the stalk treads. I then used JB Weld to permanently attach the two. Oh I already had a Shift lever extension so it can still be screwed on and off. The only downside is drilling aluminum generates a lot of heat and I had to toss it in ice several times. This had an adverse effect on your eagle sticker and it flaked off. Would love another.
